Day 1

We started off at 08:00 Saturday full of enthusiasm and just praying for good weather. Just 20 minutes into the drive our first incident, a near miss with another vehicle even before the M62 (what van? ), a trouble free journey continued to Penzance.
Our first promo event saw the team meeting the very friendly staff at Penzance fire station. The Cornish boys were already aware of the Games and we answered questions about sailing, rugger 7's and sea fishing. We expect to see a team of about 20-30 in Liverpool next year.

Next was the shortish ride to Lands End where, after the boys had preened themselves, posed for the obligatory photos next to the Lands End Start/Finish line.

Back then to what must be the best 2 star hotel in Cornwall, The Tarbert, where we gorged on fresh sea food and lovely puds.
An early night then with the team full of expectation as to what the next 9 days would hold in stall.
